The court ordered that Big River township be divided into two separate and distinct parts; south of an east/west line from the south side of the James Gilmore plantation to be called Big River township and Marimak township to the north of the line.

 

The court appoints Thomas Maddin guardian to Thomas and Susan Horine (children of Jacob Horine)

 

The court appoints William Bartlet, James McCormack, and Richard Brown viewers of the road leading from the town of Herculaneum to Isle au Bois Creek in the most direct line towards Ste. Genevieve.

 

The court confirms the road laid out from the town of Herculaneum leading or running by the mouth of Sandy Creek, Vansant's Mills, John Wideman's plantation on Big River, so as to intersect the Boonslick Road and appoint Timothy Wilkins and Mark Wideman overseers thereof.

The court confirms the road laid out from the town of Herculaneum to Big River to meet the Mine au Breton road viewed by Peter Stroup? and others and appoint Elial Donal and Elisha Ellis overseers.

 

The court grants Clement B. Fletcher license to retail merchandise for six months.

 

The court grants William Bates license to retail merchandise for six months.

 

On the petition of Clement B. Fletcher & others for a road leading from the town of Herculaneum on the south side of Joachim Creek so as to intersect the Mine au Breton road near John Stewart's old plantation, they appoint Richard Brown, William Bates and John W. Honey viewers to lay out the same.

 

On the petition of John W. Honey & others for a road leading from the town of Herculaneum to James McCormack's on the Plattin Creek and thence the most practical route to James Bryan Mills, the court appoints Ezekial Dugan, __ Beltknap and John Geiger viewers to lay out the same.

 

The court fix and establish the prison bounds to the goal (jail) in Jefferson county to fifteen rods distance and appoint John Finley to lay out the same.

 

The court appoints John Wiley, John McCullouch, & Berry Hansel Judges of Elections in Big River township.

 

The court appoints Joseph Henderson, Thomas Johnson, and Abraham Hildebrand Judges of Elections in Marimak township.

 

The court appoints Samuel McMullin, James Donald, and William Bartlet Judges of Elections in Platin township.

 

The court appoints Clement B. Fletcher, Benjamin Johnson Sen., and James Steward Judges of Elections in Joachim township.

 

The court appoints James McCullough Road Justice for Big River township and Thomas Johnston Road Justice for Marimak township

 

The court appoints Noel Wetherly Constable for Big River township

 

The court appoints Jonathan Hildebrand, David Bryant, John Wiley, James Donal, and Zakeria Moore Commissioners of school lands.

 

The court grants license to Elisha Ellis to keep ferry across the Mississippi from Herculaneum to Harrisonville for one year.

 

The court grants license to Lawson Lovering to keep ferry across the Marimak from Herculaneum to St. Louis for one year.

 

The court appoints John Geiger for the first division and Jacob Brindley for the second division, overseers of the road leading from Herculaneum to St. Louis.
