There are five other large (probable) Rankin stones. It appears that something has been poured on them….maybe an acid to clean them? which has destroyed the stones. Very little is legible on any of them. The date of 1849 (death) is on one. And on another, a birth date of November 1840 and a death date of March 8, 1846 was read.
