Dr. Kun H. Park, formerly of Festus, Missouri, passed away on Friday, March 5, 2010 at Jordan Valley Hospital in West Jordan, Utah. He was 66 years old. Dr. Park was born on August 30, 1943 in Seoul, Korea. After graduating from Catholic Medical School and serving in Vietnam for the Korean Army, he immigrated to the United States in 1972 to complete his medical residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Homer G. Phillips Hospital in St. Louis. He moved to the Festus/Crystal City, Missouri area in 1978 and joined the staff at Jefferson Memorial Hospital where he remained for 25 years. During his career Dr. Park delivered over 3,000 babies. After he retired from private practice in 2003, he spent his time traveling to National Parks and beautiful places everywhere from Maine to Alaska, logging over 70,000 miles on his VW camper; indulging his love of photography; and enjoying the company of his family and especially of his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Myeung; daughters, Dr. Rosa Marshall (of Sandy, Utah) and Ann Lanpher (of Brooklyn, New York); sons-in-law, Dr. S. Charles Marshall and Mark Lanpher; and six grandchildren: William, Annika, and Hunter Marshall, and Peter, Jenna, and Harper Lanpher. His son, Dennis, died in 1993. A private service will be held in Sandy, Utah.
