Dr. N.W. Jarvis, formerly of Bloomsdale, Missouri, opened an office in Festus on May 28, 1915. As there was no high school in Bloomsdale, the Dr. and Mrs. Jarvis (Daisy Seat) decided to move to Festus where there was a high school so their only son, Cecil, could attend and receive a high school diploma. The good doctor was a handsome man and Mrs. Jarvis was friendly and vivacious. The Jarvis family lived at #817 North Mill Street. ...he owned a model "T" Ford coupe. His home was one of the very few with a bathroom in it.
