Harold Emmett Donnell

He was a Marine doctor and served in Korea in 1954 before beginning a practice at DeSoto.

DR. HAROLD EMMETT DONNELL WAS BORN JULY 25, 1921 IN DE SOTO, MO. HE WAS THE SON OF ROBERT E. AND RACHEL E. (NEE REPPY) DONNELL. HE DIED ON FEBRUARY 23, 2009 AT BETHESDA SOUTHGATE IN ST. LOUIS, MO AT THE AGE OF 87. HE IS SURVIVED BY FATHER-IN-LAW; HARTY NICKELSON, DE SOTO, MO; DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, LISA MAHN-DONNELL, DE SOTO, MO; BROTHER-IN-LAWS, GARY NICKELSON, ST. LOUIS, MO; FLOYD NICKELSON, BLACKWELL, MO; KENNETH NICKELSON, TACOMA, WA; NIECES AND NEPHEWS; SUSAN DONNELL, ST. LOUIS, MO; JEFF DONNELL, ATLANTA, GA; PHIL PARDON, KANSAS CITY, MO; BILL DONNELL, ROGERS, AR; GRANDCHILDREN, ROBERT WAYNE AGERS; SETH , MATTHEW  & CHRISTOPHER DONNELL. HE IS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS PARENTS; HIS WIFE, JUNE (NICKELSON) DONNELL; DAUGHTER, MANDY LEE DONNELL; SON, ROB DONNELL; BROTHER, DR. Dr. Donnell was a medical doctor, practicing in DeSoto for more than 40 years, and was a member of Mount Olive Methodist Church in DeSoto. He was one of the original members of the medical staff at Jefferson Memorial Hospital and a member of the original board of directors of State Bank of DeSoto. He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving as a medical doctor, was a member of DeSoto Lodge 119 A.F. & A.M. and a life member of Amvets Post 48.
