Michael Kenneth Blank, M.D., was a practicing physician and surgeon in De Soto and Jefferson County, Missouri from about 1970 until 2003. A native of De Soto, he was born in 1942, the son of Walter and Dorothy Blank. After graduation from De Soto High School in 1960 he attended Flat River (MO) Junior College and then graduated from Central Methodist College in Fayette, Missouri. He received his medical degree from the University of Kansas.  During his professional career in De Soto he was elected to several terms on the De Soto Public School Board. Several children survive him. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, and is buried in the De Soto City Cemetery.
